Brilliant White Kitchen Cabinets

Blair, a new real-estate buyer bought a fixer upper.  Blank canvas!

The original oak kitchen cabinets from 1981 were of sound integrity but needed a face lift.  Oak is a deep grain wood that looks great filled or showing grain, depending on one’s opinion.

We agreed that a higher sheen finish would look better flat with filled grain.  Level 5 finish it is.

I shellac sealed everything to mitigate tannin bleed after sanding and cleaning.  Then I filled the seams of the box fronts with bondo.  I filled the grain of box fronts and cabinet doors with Fine Paints of Europe brush putty twice and sanded it all smooth.

Fine Paints of Europe Eco Primer and Eco Brilliant White paint was applied with fine finish spray technology and scuff sanded in between each coat.
